# Core Loop

Fight, gather, progress, own.

## Combat

Real-time action combat with RPG structure underneath. \
Skill rotations, gear, status effects, monsters, elites, mini-bosses, and world bosses.

Combat costs no energy. Neither do quests, dailies, achievements, or tasks.

## Energy

Energy is the action cap on gathering and expeditions, not on playing.

A level 30 player has roughly 510 energy a day without spending anything, about 255 gathering actions.

## Progression

Levels, skill points, gear, weapons, titles, achievements, and a monster book that fills as you kill things, hunt enough of one creature and you learn its drops and where it lives.

Death costs you. You keep your top three items; everything else stays where you fell until you go back for it.
